His progress has always been monitored by us and we can’t help but be amazed at the progress that he’s showing everyday. He now giggles a lot. We love to play with him and our hearts melt each time we see that beautiful smile.

And lo and behold! He now rolls over like a big boy!

Oh man! We have been all over him since day 1. Now he’s showing some signs of growing older.

Morning Dew’s 3rd Month Celebration

How time flies so quick! It felt like only yesterday when the new bundle of joy was born. Morning Dew had been the family’s apple of the eye since then.

Being the first born, the first nephew and the first grandson, everyone was all over him. His first smile sure made our hearts melt!

Morning Dew gave us immeasurable joy that neither Ewoks nor Rosy (our puppies) can ever give ;-) This blog will be sufficient proof for our immense love for him. When he’s old enough to read and browse through my blogs, I am sure he will get to realize how much we love him so.

Morning Dew’s parents celebrated his 3rd month without us. Unfortunately, I was sick and was confined in the hospital at the time. However, his Mom made sure there were some photos taken as a beautiful memento.

Morning Dew’s Sleep Over at My Pad

Before my trip to Dapitan City, Morning Dew and his parents had a sleep over here in my new pad.

A few hours after their arrival, Morning Dew was crying out loud because his Mom let him wear a jacket. It was freezing cold when they arrived because the aircon was turned on full blast. It took a mighty long time for us to realize that it was the jacket that’s causing him so much discomfort. He only stopped crying when his Mom removed his jacket.

Morning Dew’s Second Month Celebration

I always make sure that I go home to celebrate Morning Dew’s monthly progress. He has grown heavier each day. One thing noticeable was the skin color change. It became so much lighter unlike when he was just a few day’s old. We would often call him “Nognog” as his color was so much like his Dad. I call his Dad Negro ever since we were just toddlers, LOL!

Morning Dew got a cake which was bought by his Dad for his 2nd month. He now smiles a lot and looks at the camera for picture-taking.

Our youngest brother, Morning Dew’s Uncle, got him a hammock. He enjoys being swayed at the hammock everytime he feels sleepy.

I often tell my Morning Dew not to grow up so quick. We all enjoy him as a baby and he is so much loved by everyone.

Happy 1 Month, Xyle!

It has been one month since that special day when our Morning Dew was born. A lot of changes took place since then. Xyle gave us the simplest of joys. He also gave Mom, Dad and Mamita some sleepless nights, LOL!

One thing noticeable is the gained weight. He now weighs 4.4 kilos. He is on S-26 Gold Newborn since birth but was advised to change brand after he incurred some skin rashes. Now he is drinking Nan Infant Milk Formula.

I went to see him on his first month.

… And Xyle Was Born!

I’d like to officially welcome my nephew, Xyle. I am now officially an Aunt! Whew! So this is how it feels when a new bundle of joy is born :-)

The excitement of seeing the baby engulfed us for 9 months and now it has unfolded when my nephew was born today, at about 10am. My SIL delivered normally.

However, she was induced as the cervix took a mighty long time to open up. Her gynie was forced to induce her coz my nephew already had his business inside his Mom’s tummy.

I was on the road to attend a meeting. I have been in constant communication with my brother while my SIL was on labor. When he finally cracked the news that his wife delivered normally, I can’t help but let out a sigh of relief.

I was too excited to see my nephew and so after the out-of-town meeting, I hurriedly went to see him at the hospital :-)

Ready to Give Birth

My SIL is now confined in the hospital. She’s ready to give birth. She’s been suffering from labor pains since yesterday. Now she’s just 2cm. We have been monitoring her progress.

I told my SIL not to cry when she’s about to deliver the baby. She will be needing all her strength and courage to push the baby out and certainly, crying won’t help.

My SIL Is Now On Labor

Today, my SIL is beginning to have labor pains. She went to her gyne and she was told that she’s now 1cm. She was warned that she might be delivering Xyle soon, in 3 days time till she gets 10 cm.

The baby stuff and my SIL’s are all now set. We can’ t wait to finally see Xyle. I pray for a normal and safe delivery of my nephew.

Xyle Jash

My brother and his wife had been bugging me for a good name for their baby boy. My brother had thought of naming him after some musical instruments like “Chime”. I told him it sounds a little gayish, LOL! He dropped off the idea and had kept asking me to suggest for names.

When I ranted about it at work, one subordinate suggested “XYLE JASH”. Xyle is taken out from xylophone while Jash is a combination of both the parents’ names. I didn’t think twice in letting my brother know about it. Good thing he liked the suggested name. Now we just await for Xyle Jash to come out in her Mom’s tummy :-)

I Can’t Wait To Be An Aunt

Yesterday had been a hectic day for me. My SIL and I went out to buy the last batch of stuff for my nephew. These are all accessories of the newborn babe and a crib. It was the first time I went out with her to do some shopping for the baby. She had always been with her husband but yesterday, my brother was a little busy.

The day is nearing for my SIL’s due. Everyone in the family is very excited to see the bundle of joy. Everything is now prepared. I can’t wait to be an Aunt very, very soon :-)
